Jùsādlu Se (/ʤʊs/ /ˈəˑdlu/ [sea; ocean] [rare]) is a subtropical Town located in Merrowviolet Dutchy, Fidhi̊si Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Jùsādlu Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Jùsādlu Se was founded by Khazli Castell, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Jùsādlu Se has a yearly average temperature of 24°C (75°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Jùsādlu Se receives an average of 140 cm/y (55 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Jùsādlu Se covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 5238 m (17185 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Jùsādlu Se was founded durring the early 15th century in summer of the year 1401, by Khazli Castell. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Khazli Castell.

Jùsādlu Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Jùsādlu Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Jùsādlu Se is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of broad cobblestone streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Jùsādlu Se's timber-based walls are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Jùsādlu Se is, in a word, disorder. People seem to be allowed to do as they please with little harmoney to anything. It feels less like a town, and more like a spot people just happened to place their homes. Yet there are small elements here and there which show the underlying structure of the community. It’s just so complex, organic, and flowing one can only understand what is a piece of the puzzle, but not what its neighbors are.

Cultural Notes

Jùsādlu Se's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is recurring in Jùsādlu Se.
